THE RE-BRAND

Working with our trusted design team we were tasked to take the iconic but seriously dated brand of Ndutu Safari Lodge and bring it up to date. The challenge was taking a brand which had been around for nearly 50 years, inject new life into it without alienating old customers but attracting new ones.

We developed typeface, colour palate, icons and a tone of voice that was true to the brand and was welcomed by the entire Ndutu audience.

NEW WEBSITE

Following intense research and layout plans we wrote copy, designed and developed an effective and stylish website for Ndutu.


THE LAUNCH

TRADE LAUNCH

In our usual way, we worked through a series of activities to relaunch Ndutu to the trade from working with ATTA to developing a trade newsletter.

CONSUMER LAUNCH

We developed, for the first time, a fully functioning database of past customers and we now design quarterly newsletters which enjoy an exceptionally high open rate of 45%.

Once this foundation was established GTM went to work on reestablishing our relationships with the tour operators and agents by attending regular trade travel shows and conferences on our behalf,  communicating regularly with existing agents around the world, meeting nee agents and establishing new potential markets. 

On a day to day basis we find Charlie and Catherine a delight to work with.  They are always available, very efficient in their processes and communications and have always delivered for us.  We very much also value their opinions and consider them an integral part of our business and a business decision making process.

Whilst it is always difficult to directly measure the impact of a business’s investment in marketing (and we acknowledge the longer term nature of these endeavours) we were happy to see a 30% increase in bed night volumes over the period that are marketing had been targeted all trends were extremely positive until impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

GTM have always been a cost effective solution for us a stand alone business.  We feel the cost of their services has been very reasonable and they have probably over serviced us on the literal interpretation of our contract.  This demonstrates to us their commitment to our business, their work and both our reputations.  They we also kind enough to work with us during this extraordinary period to reduce their costs to the business, knowing that we require each other to survive this and to be successful as we think about the future.
